Plymouth is the seventh largest city in the U.S. state of Minnesota. Located 15 miles (24 km) west of downtown Minneapolis in Hennepin County, the city is the third largest suburb of Minneapolis–Saint Paul, which is the sixteenth largest metropolitan area in the United States, with about 3.63 million residents. According to the 2019 Metropolitan Council estimate, Plymouth’s population is 79,768. The city is recognized as the furthest west suburb of Minneapolis.
The population was 70,576 at the 2010 Census.
